Q + A

How do I rsvp?

Invitations will be sent out closer to the wedding date. We will give guests the opportunity to RSVP for the wedding and pre/post wedding events then.

What is the dress code for the wedding day?

We’d love our guests to get dressed up with us for our big day! The dress code is formal, but we want our guests to be comfortable in the Greek heat so we’ve made a few tweaks. Gentlemen can wear suits or tuxedos, but ties are optional. Ladies can wear full-length gowns or fancy cocktail- or tea-length dresses. Please avoid jeans, sneakers, beach dresses or (men’s) sandals.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony and the reception will be held outdoors. Santorini can be windy and/or hot - please check the weather before you leave for your trip and plan accordingly.

Do I have to attend all of the wedding events?

Not at all! We recognize that vacation days are precious and we will completely understand if you choose not to attend any or all of the wedding events. We thought it would be nice to use the opportunity to celebrate with our guests who will be travelling far to be with us in Santorini, but the only day we would recommend you absolutely don’t skip is the wedding day 😉 We will give guests the opportunity to RSVP individually to each event closer to the wedding date.

Are children invited?

Our wedding and reception will be an adults-only event but we are happy to help you coordinate a sitter for the night. We hope you understand and can enjoy a night off!

Will there be transportation to/from the wedding venue?

We will arrange transportation to and from Cavo Ventus to accomodations in Fira / Firostefani, Megalochori, and Akrotiri on our wedding day/night. Taxis and ubers are limited and so it will be critical to meet the shuttle before departure. More details to come.

Are there hotel blocks or accommodation options?

We have chosen not to secure a hotel block because most of the amazing places to stay in Santorini on the cliffside are small, and many of our guests have shared that they plan to stay in an Airbnb. However, we are happy to help you find the perfect place for your stay in Santorini! We only ask that you stay in the Fira, Firostefani, Megalochori, or Akrotiri areas on the wedding night if you'd like to be on the route for pick-up and drop-off to/from the venue. If you're unsure, send us a note.

Will you have a gift registry?

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest present we could ask for. We will not be registering and do not expect our guests to give gifts or contributions of any sort. However, if you would like to write a card we would love to read your messages. There will be a designated space to leave cards at the reception.

What time should we arrive for the ceremony?

The ceremony will begin on time and the schedule will be shared closer to the date. You cannot walk to the wedding venue from most Santorini hotels or accommodations (see transportation Q+A). Late joiners will be asked to wait until the ceremony has concluded to enter the venue.

Can I take pictures or video during the ceremony?

We invite all guests to be present with us at the ceremony, and ask that all cameras and phones are turned off for the ceremony. But after? Go wild!
